Dr. Sarah Johnson

Dr. Sarah Johnson is a board-certified oral medicine specialist with over 15 years of clinical experience focusing on oral mucosal disorders and salivary gland pathologies.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and completed her Master of Science in Oral Medicine at the University of Washington.
As the current Director of the Oral Mucosal Disease Clinic at Pacific Northwest Dental Institute, Dr. Johnson has treated more than 3,000 patients with various oral lesions, including over 500 cases of oral mucoceles.
Her research on minimally invasive techniques for mucocele management has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology.
Dr. Johnson serves as a consultant for the American Academy of Oral Medicine and regularly conducts workshops on salivary gland disorders for dental professionals.
She has contributed to clinical practice guidelines for the management of common oral lesions and co-authored three textbook chapters on oral mucosal diseases in pediatric patients.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Johnson maintains an active research program investigating novel laser treatment approaches for oral soft tissue lesions.
She is committed to patient education and has developed resources to help patients understand and prevent oral mucoceles.
